Continuing the tradition of the last few years with new and exclusive Cohibas being introduced in the market, the Cohiba Behike, one of the most expensive Cuban cigars ever made, is set to join the regular production from 2010.

The Cohiba Behike was released in 2006, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Cohiba, Habano’s most exclusive brand. Only 100 humidors were made, decorated with some of the most luxurious materials in the world; galuchat, black ebony, mother of pearl, sycamore, cedar and ox bone. Each humidor was personalised with the owner’s name, its number (1 to 100) and the numbers of the cigars it contained. Every single Behike was rolled by Norma Fernandez in el Laguito factory, was double banded and numbered from 1 to 100.

The price of this exclusive humidor was set at $18,000, around $450 for each cigar and it is now considered one of the most sought collectable Cohibas. We hope that the new Behikes will be of similar blend and quality, but not similar in price. No details have yet been released regarding the packaging and number of the new Behikes. However, the Double Robusto format is expected to remain the same, measuring 52 x 192, with the characteristic pigtail.
