2011 Regional Editions - Preliminary list

A little later than last year, the preliminary list of the Regional Editions of 2011 has surfaced. Long as always, the list includes 23 vitolas in total, from 12 different brands and for 17 regions.

An interesting addition to the list is the thin and slender “Selectos Finos” from La Escepción, a brand which was discontinued in 1989.  The second ever Edmundo Dantes will be released for Mexico, this time with a Sublime named “Conde 54″, while Quai d’Orsay and Sanzo Panza will also appear in the Regional Edition programme for the first time.

Four regions will receive their first exclusive cigar, including Bulgaria, Russia, Israel and Austria. Netherlands will also receive their first regional, exclusively for Netherlands and not as part of Be.Ne.Lux., with Belgium and Luxemburg getting a different vitola, the BeLux No.1.

It is almost certain that some of these cigars will not make the cut, and some could be allocated in different regions. We will be looking forward to see the final list and the packaging details, as well as a list of the rest of the upcoming releases for 2011.
