Cigar deletions in 2009

The production of 2009 will not include 13 vitolas. 60 vitolas were initially considered for deletion, however only 13 “made it” to the list. The list includes:
Bolivar - Bonitas
Bolivar - Inmensas
Bolivar - Coronas Extra
Fonseca - Cosacos
H Upmann - Coronas Junior
H Upmann - Monarcas
Hoyo De Monterrey - Hoyo Du Roi
Montecristo - Joyitas
Partagas - Super Partagas
Partagas - Princess
Partagas - Petit Coronas
Punch - Super Seleccion No 1
Quintero - Nacionales
Three Brands were also considered for complete deletion initially, but this was not acted on. The brands were Rafael Gonzales, Sancho Panza and Vegueros.
Also, La Gloria Cubana may stay in the 2009 production with a single cigar; the Medaille D’Or No 2!

With the above actions, Habanos S.A. shows the intention to shut down any vitolas and brands that do not manage to make enough revenue.
