2009 will see another new line in production. The “Gran Reserva” series will be here to add to the most popular “Reserva” series.

In 2007, Montecristo released the “No4 Reserva”, the third “Reserva” vitola, after the Partagas D4 in 2005 and the Cohiba Reserva in 2003. What makes the “Reserva” cigars so special is the use of tobacco that is aged for at least three years.

The “Gran Reserva” will take the series to the next level; the tobacco used will be aged for a minimum of five years! The cigar that will be featured in this first release will be the all times favourite Cohiba Siglo VI.

The roll of these cigars has been left to twelve of the best rollers of the El Laguito factory in Havana. 5000 numbered boxes will be produced, each containing 15 cigars.

The “Gran Reserva” series are expected to appear for the first time in the XI Habanos Festival in February, and are expected to be released in the same month.
