cubancigarrollerhamletparedesGood news! Cuban master roller, senor Jaime “Hamlet” Paredes, will be visiting Dublin for a couple of days during his UK trip.

For those who haven’t heard of him before, Hamlet is a 9th grade cigar roller, the highest grade a roller can achieve in Cuba, and he is considered one of the top three Cuban rollers. Hamlet started his career in Havana’s Partagas factory, where he learned to roll every vitola from the Habanos portfolio. He has been one of Habanos greatest ambassadors, having travelled all around the world, demonstrating his skills. When he is not travelling, he is based in the old Romeo y Julieta factory. Hamlet will be handrolling fresh cigars in James Fox, 119 Grafton Street, on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th of September. Be sure to drop in and get your own fresh cigar, on your favourite size, rolled right in front you.

On Thursday September 30th from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Hamlet will be demonstrating his skills and talking about the art of making a Havana cigar in the James Fox store. The event will also feature a tasting of the Tyrconnell Single Malt. Admission to the event is free, however as spaces are limited, to book your place you need to contact David McGrane on 01 677 0533, or email on info@jamesfox.ie.

And since we wouldn’t miss a chance for a get together, the event will be followed by a herf in Sam Sara Cafe Bar, were we will get a chance to enjoy our freshly rolled cigars and talk to our guest, Hamlet. Check Hamlet in action on the below video, courtesy of Dave from Fistload Blog
