Hunters & Frankau 2009 Summer Cigar Party

For third year in a row, Hunters & Frankau, the official Habanos SA distributor for UK and Ireland, are hosting the Summer Cigar Party, one of the biggest cigar events in Europe. This year’s party will take place in June 16th 2009 at the Devonshire Terrace, in the heart of London.
The atendees will have the chance to sample the Montecristo Open, a brand new line released early this year and features three vitolas; Junior is the smallest of all measuring 38 ring gauge by 4 1/3 inches. The Regatta is a traditional belicoso measuring 46 by 5 1/3 inches. The Master is the Robusto of the line measuring 50 by 4 7/8 inches, and the Eagle is a Robusto extra, measuring 54 by 5 7/8 inches.

I’ve always thought about going to one of the H&F parties, I’d imagine they run a good event. However, since the big launch at this ‘do’ is the Montecristo Open I’ll be giving it a miss; the idea of the cigar excites me about as much as the idea of the pension levy…
I would imagine this is a concerted effort to entice non-smokers to try a mild cigar. No harm in that I suppose. I don’t think I would be too excited about the cigar, but the party would probably be a good laugh. Maybe next year Harry, if the pension levy hasn’t bankrupt us all.
