Repairing a damaged cigar
Saturday, November 21st, 2009
We have all found a cigar damaged in our humidor. Some cracks on the foot, some bits of wrapper missing and on the worst case scenario, a crack near the cap of the cigar. What do you do though with a cigar that is almost destroyed and looks like someone has sat on it??
Well, with some cigar glue, some DIY skills and a “donor”, you can bring the cigar back to life… Watch the video below, where we try to bring a Bolivar Belicoso Fino back to life, using the maduro wrapper from a Dominican Carbon Copy!

brilliant stuff yirogos,
I think you should review it on here and let us know how it went!! I look forward to it
Great stuff Yiorgos.
With just 4 years or so practice you could be making $20/month in Havana!
I hope you washed the mackeral off that chopping board before you started.
why ruin two cigars?
Hi Edward,
First cigar (Bolivar) was already ruined, and the second one was not worth spending an hour with!
The result was rather interesting though!
Hi Yiorgos,
Nice repair job!
Would be interested to hear how it smoked, I’d imagine the maduro wrapper gave it a somewhat sweeter flavour than usual?
Hi Paul,
I haven’t smoked it… It belonged to a friend that dropped it and damaged it so I “repaired” it and returned it. He decided to keep it as an exhibit!
