We are back online!

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

As s0me of you may have noticed, Cigars.ie had been offline for the past week. No, I didn’t stop smoking, I was not hunted down by Habanos and I wasn’t discouraged by the VAT increase… Corrupt tables, broken database, corrupt files, failed server updates was some of the phrases used to describe the problem. At first I thought everything was wiped out from the server. But David, our techie guy, managed to put the pieces back together from the most recent backup and got us back online.

However, a couple of reviews have gone missing, as they were put up on the website after the last backup; the missing reviews are from the Vegas Robaina Familiar and the Fonseca No.1. Unfortunately, I am not keeping copies or notes on my reviews anywhere except this blog, so I can’t recall in full detail how they smoked. All I can say is that if you didn’t read them, you did not miss much. They both scored around 85 points.

So, it is time to get back smoking… I have three more reviews to finish the 2012 deletions and I hope to smoke these within the next week, as I have another series of reviews for the 12 days of Christmas.

So, stay tuned and don’t forget about our Christmas Herf on Tuesday December 13th!
