Hi Julian,

I think you might be talking about the "Los Andes" which was released in 2009. I haven't tried it as it would be very hard to find on this side of the ocean!

I hope you were not disappointed with our views on the Montecristo Open. But, apparently, the blend was changed late in 2009 and the Opens tend to get better reviews now. I haven't tried them since they first came out, but I would be looking forward seeing it again!

Hi, I'm from Argentina, and an avid habano smoker, and found this page trying to get some info on the new Montecristo Open.

Serie D Nro. 4 is one of my all time favourites with the Montecristo Pirámide, but lately I discovered in a trip to Santiago de Chile a limited edition of Por Larrañaga "Hechos para Perú" (Made exclusively for Perú). The vitola is a like a short pyramid, I strongly advise you get a few of those.

Cheers.

Our smoking shed, aka "The Havana Room", has served as well. Considering that two years ago we used to smoke outside, wearing 5 layers, it is a luxury...

We are planning to rennovate it soon and we will document the proccess!

great review Yiorgos and an excellent reference for me when i get around to trying a D4. But in my minds eye i pictured you smoking these review cigars in an oak pannelled study, seated in a red winged chesterfield with an xo cognac in a snifter beside you! I'm not the only one who uses the garden shed!
