That’s a tough one If you consider that for the price of one Gran Reserva you can possibly buy three regular siglo vi, it would then come down to personal preference on either quality or quantity…

I think the Reserva is overpriced but I would be willing to pay top dollar and try it… But if I was given the option to choose to smoke either three Siglo VI’s or a Gran Reserva, I would probably settle with the three Siglos.

Great review Yoirgos. How would you compare the value for money of the two cigars. If this was taken into consideration, would the result have been different.

A head to head review of the two would be a great idea, Dara. I have reviewed them both (last Christmas) and I actually scored the regular D4 higher than the Reserva!

I am sure Mark would donate (another) D4 reserva for “research”, but I would need to find a D4 from 2000, as this was the year of the crop used for the Reservas.

I’d love to see a head to head of the D4 Gran Reserva against an aged D4 to see how you rank the GR….maybe that can be your next “project ” !
